What sets us apart?
Cornerstone is more than a sober living facility. Although sobriety, fellowship, and support are imperative, we understand there is more to recovery. The disease of addiction not only takes a toll on the individual, but on their family, their workplace, and their social structure.
We understand that habits and behaviors form pathways in our brains. New pathways need to be formed to diminish and eliminate the old. The Cornerstone is equipped to assist our residents in creating new pathways. Residents can choose to:
Access our huge library to read and study.
Exercise in our gym.
Get creative in the workshop.
Learn new subject matters and skills from volunteers.
Access a program that will assess soft skills and improve on deficiencies.
Clean up their record - The Cornerstone Residence is a partner of www.PardonMePGH.org and will assist residents if they want to apply for a pardon or expungement.
Spend time with their children and families with available toys and games.
Community Projects - Residents will choose community projects to work on. Giving back is an integral component of recovery.
Locking Arms Men will host meetings at Cornerstone that residents will be able to participate in if they choose. This Christian fellowship holds men accountable to each other.
